Records, 1861-1865.

Three bound volumes of records for the unit, 1861-1865. The first volume contains copies of company orders. The second volume is clothing issue records. The last volume is lists of quartermaster stores and property seized; records of gun firings; and reports of operations. Later owners used the books as copy books.

The 21st Indiana Infantry Regiment was organized in July 1861 in Indianapolis and saw duty in Baltimore and New Orleans.
